people pay me $300 per session for coaching.
they pay me this much because i help them solve problems that are costing them more than that:
- anxiety
- brain fog
- insomnia
- depression
- productivity
- low self-esteem
- suicidal ideation
but over the past 6 months people have started asking me to help them with a different problem:
they want to know how to help people like i do (so they can quit job they hate.)
iâm sure youâve solved at least one problem in your lifeâany problem.
this qualifies you to help someone else with that problem. maybe not for $300 an hour at firstâyou have to prove you can replicate your results first. but there are opportunities to do this, and iâm here to tell you how to find them.
but first we need to clear up a misconceptionâŠ
your work doesnât have to suck anymore
traditionally, âworkâ meant âdoing something youâd rather not do in exchange for moneyâ:
- manufacturing
- telemarketing
- construction
- cleaning
- catering
- farming
- retail
of course, there are examples of people enjoying all of these, but those people are the minority.
and of course, society still needs people to fulfill these rolesâthough less and less with the advancement of technology.
sadly, almost a billion people continue in these roles worldwide, painting that familiar, bleak picture of the ârat raceâ.
it wasnât a deep yearning that led people to these roles, and theyâre not nourished by them. they continue only because no-one told them about the new alternative.
but iâm going to tell you that alternative right now.
win/win for the win
no-one with an internet connection has to keep doing something they hate for a living.
in 2024, everyone has at least a few hours per week to dedicate to freeing themselves from the traditional model of work.
one of the most common responses i hear to this idea is âwe still need people to collect the trashâ.
yes, we do.
for now.
but probably not for long.
weâre in no danger of all 8 billion of us suddenly handing in resignations.
but you canâmuch sooner than you might think.
hereâs howâŠ
3 steps to write your ideal future into being
step 1
open a fresh note or grab a pen and paper.
go to a quiet spot.
turn off your notifications and tell anyone else whoâs home that youâre taking a nap.
now, list all the problems youâve encountered in your life.
be prepared to stare at the blank page or out the window for minutes at a time.
if your life is like most peopleâs in 2024 youâre so stimulated all the time that your memories may take a while to surface.
but go all the way back to your earliest memories.
what was problematic for you as a child?
- did you get enough attention?
- did you fit in at school?
- did you get good grades?
- did you learn anything difficult outside school hours?
next, consider your teenage years:
- did you struggle with puberty?
- did you struggle with identity?
- did you struggle with dating?
- did you struggle to choose what to study?
next, consider adulthood:
- did you get the job you wanted?
- did you lose anyone you loved?
- did you build something challenging?
- did you encounter any setbacks?
use those prompts as starting points, then let your thoughts flow.
step 2
now, write down the solutions you found to your problems.
maybe you didnât find solutions to all of them. thatâs okay.
just put down as many solutions as you can.
again, be prepared for this to take a while.
step 3
now, circle the one problem/solution you care about most.
perhaps it took you longer than most people to figure out how to attract romantic partners, but you ended up with your soulmate.
perhaps you couldnât figure out why colleagues kept getting promoted over you, but once you moved into a different field you shot up the ladder.
perhaps you stuck with something you werenât natural at but found success in the end.
helping other people do what you did is your new career.
i know several dating coaches.
i know several performance coaches.
i know several confidence coaches.
all of them are making at least $5K per month helping people solve a problem they once solved themselves.
i know this might sound too good to be true.
and itâs not that these people didnât have to put in some âworkâ to establish their new businesses.
but i put âworkâ in quotes here because when youâre doing something you care about it doesnât feel like work.
i could teach this sh!t to people 16 hours a day, 7 days a week.
but if you asked me to sell insurance iâd be looking for the fire exit before i even started.
the scale of the internet means you will find people who need help with the problem you circled on your notes.
but none of your friends or family will tell you this because business never worked this way before.
before, you had to find enough people with the same problem in one area to make it worth starting a business around.
but in 2024 you donât even have to âstart a businessâ in the traditional sense:
- you donât need a loan
- you donât need a team
- you donât need a business plan
you only need a social media profile, a basic command of english and a desire to help people. thatâs it.
of course thereâs detail to how you put those to use. i wrote a free â240-step guideâ you can follow to expand on what youâve learned here and start taking practical steps.
what life is like when you act on this advice
i wake up early each morning with no alarm, full of inspiration about how i can help people more.
i go for a walk, make notes of those ideas, then return home.
i write for 2-6 hours on my sofa.
then i speak with people at various stages of the process i outlined in that 240-step guide to help them along.
i work out when i want.
i eat when i want.
i hang out with my wife when i want.
my life is literally heaven.
yours can be too.

with love from my sofa,
